A young, fresh Grenache Blend

Five Geese is made by Hillgrove Wines, a small McLaren Vale winery currently specialising in Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache. The company’s underlying philosophy is to promote itself by producing premium wines that are recognised as excellent value for money.

Sue Trott is passionate about her Five Geese wine, which is produced by Hillgrove Wines. The wines come from vines planted in 1927 and 1965. The grapes were sold for many years, but in 1999 Sue decided to create her own label and make a strictly limited amount of wine from the pick of the vineyards, which are run on organic principles. They now export to the UK, the US, Hong Kong, Korea and Singapore.

Five Geese 'Flocking Ducks' Grenache Blend is a young, fresh Grenache/Shiraz that shows intriguing complexity of fruit characters, and while it is not big in alcohol, has great flavour. Very easy to drink, best enjoyed with antipasto or a pasta dish, or just by itself!
