Rosabrook 'Single Vineyard' Cabernet Sauvignon 2010

Grapes & Lager

A Pioneering Margaret River Classic

94 Points - Jame Halliday

Clear purple-crimson; a cabernet that ticks each and every box with its fragrant blackcurrant fruit, its gently savoury tannins providing a crosscut of complexity, cedary oak all in harmonious balance on the long, sinuous palate.

Rosabrook was one of the first wine producing pioneers of the Margaret River region. The winemaking philosophy, carefully guided by the Calneggia family and Winemaker Brian Fletcher, one of Margaret River’s most acclaimed wine makers, is to create elegant, fruit drive wines. Facing north and overlooking the Indian Ocean, the vineyard benefits from consistent and mild ripening conditions that produce wines of great intensity, finesse and flavour.

After a fine spring and early onset of summer, the 2010 vintage in Margaret River was a fine vintage, relatively free of weather issues.

The Rosabrook ‘Single Vineyard” Cabernet Sauvignon 2010’s striking deep purple red colour leads to an aroma of blackcurrant layered over fine vanillin oak. The palate is fine, ripe and generous and shows classical aspects of Margaret River cabernet flavours leading to a mouth filling middle palate with fine grained tannins to finish.
