A Different and Unusual Rose
Quattro Mano is a Barossa-based syndicate that includes barrel salesman and former sommelier Philippe Morin and winemakers Chris Taylor and Tony Carapetis. They specialise in oddball grape varieties. This is a deeper, darker rose style blended from tempranillo, touriga and tinta cao. The colour is at the deep purple-pink end of the spectrum and it has a clean, dry, rich palate with savoury flavours and a lick of tannin. The bouquet is all about dried herbs and savoury, almost earthy aromas. Barrel influence is buried among the palate flavours. It's appetising and moreish.
Best served with antipasto; mushroom risotto; doner kebabs; cold meats; vegetarian dishes and salads with roasted beetroots.
Enjoy:)
