From the feet of the Pyrénées
Gascony is an area of southwest France famous for its abundant green hilltops situated at the feet of the Pyrénées and alongside the coast of the Atlantic. The region has always excelled in crafting some of the most refreshing white wines in the world.
This wine is really lovely - and slightly unusual - a blend of two traditional white wine grapes of south-western France, one which has rarely ventured outside its homeland, and another which has risen to popularity all over the world.
In the vineyards of Gascony, both Gros Manseng and Sauvignon Blanc are popular varieties in their own right; blends of the two have only become popular over the past couple of decades.
This wine is a fresh alternative to the more common Sauvignon Blanc or SSB and works brilliantly, with gorgeous lemon and grapefruit flavours. Talk about zippy. Sooooo fresh. Light and zesty underneath. Will make you smile.
Lovely pre-food drink or match with simple tomato salads or chicken dishes.
Enjoy!
